THE COURSES

Diablo Grande is tucked in the scenic hills of Northern California. It is situated 10 miles off I-5 near Patterson, California. With nearly 15,000 yards, this course features a full 36 holes divided into two 18-hole courses.

The first course is known as the Ranch course. This 7,243 yard course features a par of 72. This includes the signature 12th hole known as “The Mustang.” This 650 yard par 5 hole was almost named California’s first par 6.

This course was designed by the award-winning golf course architect Denis Griffiths and opened in 1996. It incorporates a combination of dramatic elevation changes and the natural contours of the land with the beauty of the surrounding scenic terrain. The Ranch Course at Diablo Grande was recently rated one of the top courses in the nation by Golf Digest.

The second course is the Legends Course. This is also a par 72 course. It spans 7,112 yards. It was co-designed by golf legends Jack Nicklaus and Gene Sarazen and opened in 1998. It has received multiple awards, including sixth place in the best new private golf Course category in Golf Digest.

In preparation for your visit, the website features a hole by hole flyover as well as a map and scorecard. You can also learn about tournaments and the different types of membership available. After your visit, be sure to return to the website and fill out the guest satisfaction survey.

Pro Shop

The Pro shop at Diablo Grande carries a complete selection of golfing equipment and fine apparel. They feature such brand names as Greg Norman, Nike, Adidas, Cutter & Buck, Under Armour and many more. For the ladies, Diablo Grande carries top brands like, EP Pro, Greg Norman and Nike. A wide array of unique gifts and accessories are also available.

The Pro shop has limited hours. The Ranch course shop is closed Tuesday through Friday. The Legends course shop is closed on Monday. On days that they are open, hours vary based on the season. Winter hours are 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Summer hours are 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM

Restaurant

Unlike many golf courses, the Diablo Grande has a full service, gourmet restaurant. The Sunset Lounge features the cuisine of Chef Kirk Doyle. The combination of food and atmosphere captures the rustic elegance that defines Northern California.

The restaurant serves a full lunch and dinner menu daily. On the weekend, they prepare a full service breakfast. During the week, a grab and go menu of breakfast sandwiches, muffins and other options are available for golfers. The Sunset Lounge also offers an extensive wine list, full bar and elegent wine list.

PRACTICE FACILITY

Diablo Grande is pleased to offer a fully renovated driving range and practice area. The area is equipped with a synthetic tee line and target greens, surrounded by bunkers allow golfers to practice all year long. If more help is needed, lessons, provided by PGA certified instructors are also available.
