There is plenty to do and see for old and young alike, and you can learn all about the history of off road racing.
Car enthusiasts will appreciate the motorcycles, awesome Hollywood vehicles, and the automotive art. Learn about the history of Hollywood vehicles and the part they play in the movies. Children can have fun in their own section of the museum.
EXHIBITS
Visitors can tour three floors of amazing vehicles and displays. In the vault, you will see things such as one of Steve McQueen’s jaguars, a VW bug that appeared in a “Herbie” movie, and even one of the Pope’s famous vehicles. Racing fans will love the Hot Rod gallery, and the Chandler gallery houses some fantastic motorcycles. The Discovery Center is a hands-on exhibit where adults and children alike can sit on different vehicles. Children can also race derby type cars and even practice their building skills!
The Hot Wheels exhibit showcases a variety of different die-cast vehicles throughout the years, along with original drawings of vehicles and other statistics. Check out the Hollywood Gallery, where you will see cars from movies and television on display.
The museum has a variety of different workshops and programs geared to all ages. Join a family activity hour full of games, crafts and even scavenger hunts. There are special story time activities and adult programs for learning all you want to know about the cars. Browse the archives for more displays of cars, trucks, motorcycles, car parts, equipment, clothing and anything else related to the car world. The museum offers group tours, and even caters private events. Summer camps and workshops are also available at the museum.
