THE COURSE
The rich history of Montebello Golf Course began in 1928 when it was designed as a country club. The designer, Max Behr, was a legend in the golf world. In 1941 the city of Montebello purchased the course. In 1999, it was given a complete remodel to include three lakes plus all new greens, bunkers, tees and cart paths.
This course is 6,616 yards from the longest tee. It boasts a par of 71. The slope is 71.6 and the slope is 124. It requires well-placed drives and good putting ability. The 16th hole is considered the signature hole with its long par three over a body of water.

Snack Bar
A good game of golf can work up a huge appetite. Thankfully, the snack bar at Montebello Golf Course has got you covered. They have all of your favorite golf course foods including hot dogs, sandwiches and more. If you are thirsty, they carry beer, soft drinks, coffee and much more.
Sometimes, even getting back to the clubhouse can be difficult. In those cases, cart service is available. Cart girls have beverages, snacks, cigarettes, golf balls and much more. All of this is available at reasonable prices.
Practice facility
If you’d like to take a few swings off your handicap, the practice facility at Montebello Golf Course is the perfect place for you. They have a driving range for working on the long game. They also have a putting green, chipping area and practice bunker for working on the short game. Buckets of balls are available in the pro shop for a nominal charge.
If you need even more help, golf lessons are available at The Montebello Country Club. These lessons are available for all golfers including beginners all the way up to advanced golfers. Lessons are available by appointment only. Two of the four instructors are bilingual in Korean and Spanish. To schedule a lesson, contact the pro shop.
